A global delegation from Cargill recently toured Aviagen operations in the Netherlands and Scotland, highlighting their shared focus on innovation, sustainability, and poultry welfare. The visit, held from May 17 to 24, included Cargill representatives from Latin America, Europe, North America, and Asia.
In the Netherlands, the group visited Aviagen trial facilities and key equipment suppliers, gaining insights into cutting-edge technologies used in broiler and breeder production. The second leg in Scotland featured visits to Aviagen’s headquarters in Edinburgh and a high-performing broiler farm.
A highlight was the visit to Aviagen’s Global Centre for Genomics, a facility processing millions of poultry DNA samples annually. Genomics, a cornerstone of Aviagen’s R&D, has driven advancements in bird productivity, health, and sustainability.
Antonio Kalinowski, VP Live Production Strategy – Cargill Food Latam, praised the opportunity, saying, “These visits give us valuable insights into the latest poultry innovations and global trends.”
Rodrigo Cisoto of Aviagen CAME added, “Cargill is a vital global partner. This visit reinforces our shared mission of ‘Breeding Success Together.’”
