The poultry sector is stepping up to support children with additional needs at Victoria School, West Midlands, through an ambitious Mount Toubkal fundraising challenge in partnership with the Boparan Charitable Trust.
Following a visit to the school, teams from across the poultry and allied industries were inspired to help fund two life-changing projects: the transformation of the school’s specialist hydrotherapy pool into a modern sensory-focused therapy space, and the redevelopment of a condemned outdoor area into an accessible environment for learning, play and sensory integration.
From 16–22 June 2026, representatives from 2 Agriculture, Amber Holdings Ltd, Anmac, Trumans, alongside partners from the construction sector, will trek Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak, to raise vital funds. Industry support has already helped the campaign surpass £65,000, with an £80,000 target in sight.
Andrew Western, Trek Leader and Head of Commercial at Amber Holdings, said: “Visiting Victoria School was incredibly moving. The children have each given us a specially designed pebble to carry to the summit, and their names will be displayed on our trek jackets.”
Businesses attending Pig & Poultry Fair 2026 donated to support the challenge and further donations can be made via the online link: The Boparan Charitable Trust: Mount Toubkal Challenge
