Marel has introduced the WPL 9000+, a high-speed weigh price labeller. Capable of handling fixed and catch weight products, it will also print the required product information on a label.
The weighing range of the labeller is between 40g and 5.5kg. Increased weighing and labelling speed gives a throughput of up to 160 boxes per minute, with accurate label placement and precise weighing increments that can be set at 1g or 2g.
Three weighing table lengths are available, suitable for pack sizes up to 660 x 350mm. Catch weight, or fixed weight configurations, can be measures and the labeller can also be used as a checkweigher with an optional reject mechanism.
When it comes to labelling, a wide range of product information can be handled and the machine can apply labels to multiple surfaces on a variety of products and on every side of a tray or box. Label sizes can be up to 150 x 110mm.
Using Innova Label Designer, the machine can print Unicode characters for multi-lingual printing. And it also has advanced barcode printing options, which respect multiple standards, such as 1D/2D barcode formats, QR codes and Data Matrix.
