2 Sisters Food Group’s factory on Industrial Estate Road in Llangefni, Anglesey – the town’s largest employer – has made a £1,000 donation to local school Ysgol y Bont.
Anglesey MP Virginia Crosbie was on hand to present the cheque alongside Stephanie Wilson, a production operative at the factory.
Alistair Millar, site general manager, said: “Our factory plays a big role in the local community and provides employment to many families on the island. We have introduced a programme to engage with local businesses and projects to enable us to give back to our community in which ever way we can.”
Virginia Crosbie MP added: “It was an absolute pleasure to present this cheque to the school on behalf of 2 Sisters in Llangefni. It was also a pleasure to visit the school and meet with staff and most importantly the students. I felt the school’s warm and caring atmosphere as soon as I went through the door.
“A special thank you to 2 Sisters for making this donation. It is a big employer on the island and it’s great that they want to give back to their community in this way.”
