Birds Eye recalls chicken burgers over plastic contamination fears

Birds Eye is recalling a range of chicken burgers, as some packs may contain pieces of red plastic. The affected product is Birds Eye 4 Chicken Burgers with Golden Wholegrain 200g.

The Food Standards Agency said the following batch codes were affected: L1022 V U124, L1022 W U124, and L1022 X U124 with a best before date of April 2022.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product. These notices explain to consumers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
