Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs has announced a 39% increase in turnover to £35.16 million for the financial year ended 30 June 2024, up from £25.31 million the previous year. Despite this strong growth, profit before tax declined by 13% to £1.56 million, reflecting ongoing industry pressures.
The company faced several key challenges, including the continued impact of avian flu, which forced the business to downgrade some free-range egg supplies to barn eggs, affecting product value and margins. Nonetheless, Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs said it had worked to maintain customer satisfaction through pricing and demand stability.
Looking ahead, directors do not foresee major changes in operations over the next year, Despite profit pressures, the company is confident in its operational resilience and ability to meet market demands moving forward.
