Aviagen has raised the bar for its club of top broiler growers with the newly launched Ross 470 Club, celebrating broiler producers across the United Kingdom who achieve a European Production Efficiency Factor (EPEF) of 470 or higher — placing them in the top 1% of the UK industry.
The club began in 2018 with the launch of the Ross 400 Club. Now, in response to consistent performance improvements, the threshold has been raised from 450 to 470 to reflect the growing achievements of UK producers. The new target is effective as of 1 May.
“We’re seeing an impressive upward trend in average EPEF scores, which speaks to the genetic progress of our broilers, combined with the excellent flock management, dedication and teamwork of our valued customers,” said Stuart Thomson, regional technical manager for Aviagen UK. “To match this momentum, we’ve set a new standard. The Ross 470 Club recognises those going above and beyond — a true mark of broiler management excellence.”
The growing number of repeat winners over the years shows a strong commitment to continuous improvement, said Thomson. “The broiler growers keep raising the bar and inspiring others in the industry with their results. It’s rewarding for us to see their success, and to celebrate it.”
