Boot dip manufacturer Quill Productions has launched a new two stage product with the aim of providing better biosecurity on farm.
The Dorset based company’s new Blue Quill Boot Dip was developed in response to Defra’s 2022 guidance, which specifies that boots should be pre-cleaned with water and a brush prior to using disinfectant in order to remove mud and other organic matter.
It works alongside the company’s Yellow Quill Boot Dip, which features three sturdy brushes to remove mud from boots; a handle for support during dipping, a dial to show when disinfectant was changed, carry handles and a lid.
Each boot dip is supplied with a biosecurity notice, highlighting the two-step procedure and advising dosage rates of disinfectant and detergents.
