Aviagen UK recently hosted a longstanding customer Nippon Chunky, Japan’s exclusive Ross distributor, who visited Edinburgh on April 16 and 17. The Aviagen team met with Nippon Chunky and three of its customers – Abe Farm, Prifoods and Iishi — in productive information-sharing discussions and relationship-strengthening activities.

During the sessions, Aviagen shared with Nippon Chunky the latest developments within Aviagen as well as in the regional and global poultry market, covering critical topics such as biosecurity and improvements in performance, health and welfare.

The occasion marked the first visit for Nippon Chunky’s new President Tadashi Yoshida. Aviagen and Nippon Chunky have enjoyed a strong and longstanding business relationship of more than half a century. In honour of the 50 years of collaboration and camaraderie between the two companies, UK General Manager Graeme Dear presented Nippon Chunky with a commemorative plaque.

“We were thrilled to spend time with our valued friends at Nippon Chunky and hear about the success that they and their customers are experiencing with the Ross brand throughout Japan,” said Dear. “We value our special and enthusiastic cooperation with them, and look forward to another 50 years of success.”

Tadashi Yoshida added: “It was rewarding to make my first trip to Aviagen in Edinburgh with my valued customers. I am very proud and honored to have 50 years of friendship and working-together with Aviagen to promote the Ross brand, and deeply appreciate the ongoing support and cooperation. I look forward to our future success, as we put forth our best effort to grow the business globally for both Aviagen and Nippon Chunky.”
