World Cup winning rugby star named as our awards host, and your chance to vote for the supplier of the year

Poultry Business is delighted to announce this year’s National Egg & Poultry Awards will be hosted by rugby legend Ben Kay.

Kay was a key part of the World Cup winning England rugby team in 2003, one of only four players to participate in both that successful campaign and also the attempt to defend the title four years later. After joining Leicester Tigers, England’s most successful rugby union side, Kay was recruited to the England team in time for its first World Cup under Clive Woodward.

As well as his impressive career on the pitch, Kay has since become a businessman and pundit and has been a regular on televised coverage of Premiership and international rugby.

Kay will lead proceedings on 4 July at Kensington Garden Hotel at the second annual National Egg & Poultry Awards, handing out awards to all the winners and speaking about his life and career in rugby.

The event will comprise a three-course gala dinner with pre-dinner drinks and table wine and a full awards presentation.

Shortlisted finalists will receive two complimentary tickets.

  • Tickets can be purchased for £175 + VAT per person
  • Tables of 10 are £1,595 + VAT

To purchase tickets or tables please visit our dedicated website nationaleggandpoultryawards.co.uk where you can download an order form, complete the details and return by email to emma@lewisbusinessmedia.co.uk or call her on 01825 983118.

For local accommodation for the night of 4 July there is a full list on the website and you can book using code NEP.

Trade supplier of the year

As well as the categories already announced, we have another category which will be decided upon by you, the readers.

We want to find the best Trade Supplier of the Year, and to do this we would like to know which businesses go above and beyond in supplying the egg and poultry sector.

To nominate a deserving business you can go to www.nationaleggandpoultryawards.co.uk

Nominations will then be whittled down and put to the public vote.

Forgot to get your entry in?

Although entry deadline has closed for the main awards if you have a late entry please contact Emma Hooper on 01825 983119 or emma@lewisbusinessmedia.co.uk to see if we can still accept your entry.
