Gafoor Pure Halal has reported an increase in annual turnover of 15% in the year ending 30 November 2022. The Lancashire based firm’s parent company, Gafoor Holding, reported sales of £123,8 million during the period. Pre-tax profits for the year were £2.9 million, a reduction on the previous year when the figure was £3.3 million.
Gafoor Pure Halal is a supplier of poultry to food manufacturers and halal wholesalers. During 2022, the company invested in projects aimed at improving manufacturing capabilities, including new automated processing machines with enhanced yield capabilities; and an enhanced odour abatement system.
In the coming year, the company expects to continue investing in automation equipment within the lairage, in order to improve efficiencies throughout the supply chain.
