All-industry support is being given to a major charity clay pigeon shoot which is being organised by the poultry breeding company Cobb to raise funds for Papworth Hospital in Cambridgeshire.

Most of the major UK poultry producers are due to take part in the event which is being held at John Bidwell’s High Lodge shooting grounds, near Darsham, Suffolk, on Wednesday, July 20.

There will be an 80-bird individual competition on a range of the testing sporting stands, plus a series of multi-bird flushes for teams of four. A trophy will be awarded for the individual competition with the Cobb Charity Shield on offer for the team event. The entry fee is £50.

“Individuals will get a lot of shooting for their entry fee and Papworth Hospital will receive a significant donation for their very worthy and important causes,” said Cobb Europe’s John Vincent, the event organiser.
