The Oxford Farming Conference (OFC) is urging young people from the poultry industry to apply for its scholarship programme 2026, with applications closing on 3 October 2025.
Marking its 90th anniversary, OFC is continuing its mission to support the next generation of leaders through the Scholars Programme and its Breaking Barriers initiative, both delivered in partnership with McDonald’s. These opportunities are designed to invest in skills, mentorship and networks, helping to build a resilient and diverse future for UK agriculture.
The 2026 programme will include a one-day in-person gathering in London on 17 October 2025, a fully funded ticket to the Oxford Farming Conference in January, and access to bespoke online training sessions. For those selected, it offers access to industry leaders, peer-to-peer learning, and the chance to engage with the conference.
This year, places are limited to just 12 scholars, alongside eight Breaking Barriers participants and 10 McDonald’s Progressive Young Farmers. The Breaking Barriers scholarship specifically supports applicants under 30 who have faced challenges entering the sector, with a focus on improving diversity and inclusion.
OFC Chair Jude McCann said: “Each Scholar’s story is a reminder that talent, when nurtured, inspires individuals, businesses and our wider economy.
Applications must be submitted by 3 October 2025 via the OFC website.
