Cobb-Vantress has announced a leadership transition across its EMEA and Asia-Pacific operations, with Dominic Smith appointed general manager, EMEA.
Smith will report to Will Sawyer, currently vice-president of global business operations, who will assume responsibility for Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC).
Youngho Hong has also been appointed general manager, APAC, reporting to Sawyer.
The appointments form part of a planned transition as Roy Mutimer, Cobb’s vice-president of EMEA and APAC, prepares to retire in 2027 following a career in the poultry industry.
Mutimer will continue supporting the regions during the transition, working with Sawyer, Smith and Hong to help ensure continuity.
Cobb said Smith and Hong bring “extensive regional expertise, strong customer relationships and proven leadership experience” to their new roles.
Sawyer said the EMEA and APAC regions were “critical” to the business and its customers, adding that he was “especially excited” to work with Smith and Hong.
He also said customer demand and confidence in Cobb products were creating opportunities across both regions, with the environment right for increased investment in capacity, capabilities, people and strategic partnerships.
Cobb president Shelby Watkins said Mutimer’s leadership had helped strengthen the company’s presence across EMEA and APAC and contributed significantly to its global success.
“We are grateful for his many contributions and the impact he has made on our business, our customers and our people,” Watkins said.
