The inquest into the deaths of two workers at Banham Poultry last year has been adjourned to allow for further investigations to continue.
According to the Eastern Daily Press, the inquest into the tragedy in Norfolk, in which pest controllers Neil Moon, 49, and Jon Collins, 34, were found dead, has been adjourned until July 11. The paper quoted senior coroner for Norfolk, Jacqueline Lake, as saying: “I’m dealing with these cases at the same time as they arose out of the same set of circumstances.”
The two subcontractors died on 4 October in what police described as an industrial accident following what is understood to have been a chemical spill.
It came at a difficult time for Banham, which entered administration last summer, but the company was saved following a pre-pack sale to Chesterfield Poultry in the autumn.
