Red Tractor extends deadline for windows in poultry sheds until January

Red Tractor has extended the deadline from October to January for its members to install windows in chicken sheds.
Red Tractor poultry members need to ensure sheds have windows equivalent to at least of 1% of the floor area, but due to disruption caused by the pandemic, the deadline has been extended.
“We know that some members were having issues with installation, caused by the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, so we took the decision to extend their deadline for compliance to 1 January 2021,” said a spokesman for Red Tractor.
Members have to contact their certification body by Friday 15 May if they are experiencing difficulties. Certification Bodies will need evidence and clear plan and timeline in place for the work to be done so that ongoing compliance can be monitored.
