Nando’s signs up to Better Chicken Commitment

Chicken restaurant chain Nando’s has made public its decision to sign up to the Better Chicken Commitment.

By 2026, all Nando’s chicken will come from slower growing breeds that are reared at lower stocking densities, with access to perches, pecking substrates and natural light.

The restaurant chain has simultaneously announced sustainability targets, to achieve absolute zero direct emissions and reduce the carbon footprint their meals by 2030. Nando’s has also committed to reduce the carbon footprint of its chicken feed.

They join a growing list of signatories to the Better Chicken Commitment, including Pizza Express and KFC
