NFU offering to sponsor student dissertations on UK food chain

The National Farmers’ Union is offering to sponsor students who write their dissertations on topics linked to food and farming.

The union is offering to pay £150 and introduce students to a range of industry contacts to help with a dissertation or professional project

The offer is open to people whose dissertation is linked to the following topics:

  • British food retailers
  • UK food brands, manufacturers or processors
  • The sustainable supply chain
  • Supply chain collaboration or engagement

The NFU is the UK’s largest trade association, representing 47,000 farmer and grower members across England and Wales and is regarded as one of the most effective lobbying organisations in Europe, negotiating with governments and pressure groups at a local, national, European and international level.

The NFU said it would give successful applicants the opportunity to draw upon the expertise of its highly knowledgeable teams and contacts, throughout the year. You will also be invited to visit NFU HQ and upon completion of your project, be awarded £150.

Interested students should email for an application form, to be returned before 20 October.
