Birds Eye recalls chicken pies after filling them with beef

Birds Eye is recalling its chicken pies because of a mix up that saw some pies filled with steak instead of chicken.

The recall is necessary because mustard is in the steak recipe, and it is an allergen that isn’t on the label.

The product affected is a frozen four pack of shortcrust chicken pies. The pack size is 620g with a best before date of September 2019. Shoppers should return the pack to the shop where they bought it for a refund.
