The global animal health and nutrition company, Novus International, has obtained approval to launch its first enzyme product in the EU.

The product is the company’s CIBENZA EP150 enzyme feed additive which was approved by the EU authorities in early June.

Following the approval, Novus said the move “solidified” the company as a “key enzyme solution provider in every major continent” and that it now planned to continue the expansion of its presence in the EU enzyme market.

The approved product can be can be used as a feed additive for chickens for fattening and reared for laying, minor poultry species for fattening and reared for laying, and ornamental birds.

“Novus comes from a strong background in animal health and nutrition solutions, and this initial registration of CIBENZA EP150 is just the beginning of our enzyme feed additive solutions being made available to our customers in the EU,” said Novus area general manager for Europe and the Middle East, Uwe Ranft.
