Low risk bird gatherings resume as part of easing of avian flu measures

Gatherings including bird shows, fairs, and markets for aviary birds as well as pigeon racing can resume, Defra has announced, as part of the gradual easing of avian influenza prevention measures.

However gatherings of poultry, including chicken, duck and geese, as well as turkeys, pheasants and guineafowl will still not be allowed. However, Defra is keeping this under review.
