Poultec Training has expanded its poultry training provision with the launch of new on-demand eLearning courses and an Assessment First route for the Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Work-based Agriculture.
Building on almost 30 years of poultry training experience, the new eLearning courses allow farm staff to complete industry-focused training anytime, anywhere and on any device. Initial courses cover Farm Hygiene and Biosecurity, Environmental Awareness, Poultry Welfare – Broilers, and Poultry Welfare – Turkey Growing, with content focused on bird welfare, disease prevention, environmental management and legislative requirements. All courses are Poultry Passport-approved.
Poultec has also introduced an Assessment First Diploma route for experienced poultry workers who can demonstrate existing competence without completing the full taught programme. Learners who meet the required standard can achieve the qualification through assessment, while any identified knowledge gaps can be addressed through additional training.
The new route is available for eligible learners enrolling from July, alongside Poultec’s existing Standard Diploma and apprenticeship programmes.
The latest developments provide poultry businesses with greater flexibility to train staff, support career development and meet industry training requirements while minimising disruption to day-to-day operations.
