NFU’s bird flu advice roadshow tours UK

The NFU’s Poultry Health and Welfare Group has organised a third series of avian influenza roadshows for British poultry producers.

Twelve events take place across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Roadshows are free to attend but registration is vital.

Speakers will include local APHA representatives, veterinary experts, APHA licensing team representatives and the Poultry Club of GB.

Following a series of AI outbreaks during winter 2016/17, the PHWG identified a need to share lessons learned by the industry and government with producers.

This year the NFU is also extending the invitation to those who keep poultry on a smaller scale, in order to ensure the sector as a whole is up-to-date on current disease threats and the requirement for stringent biosecurity protocols during AI outbreaks.

Roadshows run from 10am to 3pm with a free lunch included.
