Northern Ireland based Skea Egg Farms has reported a strong trading performance in its latest strategic report covering the nine months ending 30 September 2024.
The egg production and packing business recorded revenue of £146.2 million during the period, compared with £158.7 during 2023. The company generated a profit before tax of £5.54 million during the period, compared with £7.3 million during 2023.
Inflationary cost pressures continue to pose a risk and uncertainty to the business, the directors noted in the report.
A dividend of £3 million was paid during 2024.
