Pilgrim’s Europe has reported a rise in revenue and operating profit for its 2025 financial year, supported by growth in poultry and continued investment across the business.
Revenue increased to £4.12 billion, up from £4.07bn in 2024, while operating profit rose to £267.7 million, compared with £242.4m the previous year.
The group said operating profit margin before restructuring costs increased to 6.5%, from 6% in 2024.
Poultry growth was attributed to operational improvements, customer contract wins, cost management and commercial execution. The business also invested £108.6m in capital expenditure across its manufacturing, farming and supply chain operations.
Pilgrim’s Europe became the exclusive supplier of all Waitrose Better Chicken Commitment own-brand chicken during the year, 18 months ahead of the industry target timeline.
The value added and brands business also launched more than 800 new products across retail, foodservice and branded categories during 2025.
Looking ahead, the company said it had delivered sales and volume growth across its poultry and meals divisions during the first half of FY2026, although consumer spending pressures and agricultural commodity volatility remained challenging.
Pilgrim’s Europe employs 17,000 people and operates more than 40 sites across the UK, Ireland, France and the Netherlands.
