Damian Kowalski has been appointed assistant hatchery manager for FarmGate Hatcheries, part of the Kelly Turkeys group, which supplies 1.5 million poults a year for seasonal producers.
Kowalski’s career at Kelly Turkeys began eight years ago and since then he has worked his way up through the business.
“Like many, I started at the lowest level, gaining valuable experience and learning new skills that allowed me to develop professionally.
“Working at the turkey hatchery brings me a lot of joy because I work with many people from whom I’ve learned a lot. I believe that it is the people – not the job itself – that is the most important element of any workplace,” he said.
