Moy Park has contributed over 150,000 meals to FareShare, the UK’s largest food redistribution charity.
FareShare aims to tackle hunger by redistributing surplus food to charities that then turn it in to meals. Moy Park joined forces with FareShare in March 2015 and has provided over 68 tonnes of fresh surplus chicken to be distributed across FareShare’s network of 21 Regional Centres, reaching homeless hostels, breakfast and lunch clubs, domestic violence refuges and community cafes across the UK.
Commenting on the milestone, Paddy Molloy, Account Manager at Moy Park said: “Moy Park is proud to be involved in such a worthwhile initiative with FareShare. By working together, companies across the supply chain can make a difference to those in need and we are happy to support FareShare to put our surplus product to the best use possible.
