Egg-based dishes hit 43% rating in social media activity

British Egg Week’s social media campaign of #PutanEggonit got off to a strong start yesterday with British Lion eggs claiming that “millennials are going share crazy” over eggs.

In support of its social media efforts, British Lion eggs launched new consumer research to assess the growing popularity of eggs on social media and this has already revealed that 60% of Brits aged 18-24 are taking photos of food for social media with 43% of them sharing pictures of egg dishes.

British Egg Week 2016 continues until October 17, with a special focus on street food as this year’s most “on-trend” ingredients.
