A new case of bird flu has been identified on a duck farm in Lincolnshire.
Defra said H5N1 HPAI has been confirmed in a commercial duck breeding flock at a premises near Market Rasen, Lincolnshire. A 3km Protection Zone and 10km Surveillance Zone was declared around the site on 11 April.
Disease control zones will remain in place until all disease control and surveillance activities in the zones have been successfully completed and there are no suspect cases under investigation in the zones, Defra confirmed.
In better news, following successful disease control activities and surveillance, a 10km Surveillance Zone was revoked around premises near Pickering, Thirsk and Malton in Yorkshire on 9 April.
A Surveillance Zone was also revoked at a premises near Omagh, County Tyrone on 7 April.
Mandatory housing measures for poultry and other captive birds were lifted in England and Wales on 9 April, though birds must still be housed for those in a Protection Zone or Captive Bird (Monitoring) Controlled Zone.
