Channel 4 has partnered with The Happy Egg Co. to produce Tiny Farmers, a family-friendly episode exploring modern British free-range egg farming and hen welfare.
Presented by Harriet Cowan, known for her appearance on Clarkson’s Farm, and comedian Jessica Knappett (The Inbetweeners Movie, Taskmaster), the programme combines entertainment with education, aiming to give viewers insight into how eggs are produced on British farms.
Produced by Interstellar TV, Tiny Farmers follows four children as they take part in a series of challenges designed to introduce them to life as egg farmers. Tasks include caring for hens and demonstrating basic cooking skills, with guidance from agricultural specialists from Noble Foods, the parent company of The Happy Egg Co.
The programme features discussions around hen welfare and the journey of eggs from farm to table, offering a simplified look at farming practices for a younger audience.
The episode launches on Channel 4’s YouTube channel on 19 January, with short-form clips shared across social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. The programme will also be available to stream from February.
The project marks the first collaboration between Channel 4’s Partner Lab and The Happy Egg Co., with media planning support from OMD UK, part of Omnicom Media Group.
Stephen Parnell, Digital Commissioning Executive at Channel 4, said the programme aims to balance humour with education, adding that the presenters’ approach helps engage both the children taking part and viewers at home.
Tiny Farmers forms part of a wider content partnership linked to The Happy Egg Co.’s current advertising activity, which is running across video-on-demand, streaming platforms and social media throughout early 2025.
