Sunrise Eggs, an independent egg producer, has been acquired by Agrova International, a European poultry and agri-foods group headquartered in Riga, Latvia. Founded in the late 1960s by Tony and Sheila Crawley, Sunrise Eggs a family-run business based in Leicestershire. Today it is led by his sons Phill and Ady Crawley, who will continue to manage the company.
Agrova International is well known in Latvia and the Baltic region for its vertically integrated egg operations. The acquisition was supported with funding from Accession Capital Partners, a growth capital provider with experience in backing agriculture businesses.
