Last month, the judges of the National Egg & Poultry Awards held a conference call to examine all the entries.
It was a tough job, with lots of excellent applicants. Some of the categories had a wide range of different entries and there were also two new categories this year – young farmer of the year and young vet of the year, designed to recognise up and coming talent.
The judges – Charles Bourns, Richard Griffiths, Mark Williams, Chloe Ryan, Paul Kelly, and Gary Ford – all agreed there was a very high standard of entrant – and each winner will have made a significant achievement.
Trade supplier of the year
As well as the categories already announced, we have another category which will be decided upon by you, the readers.
We want to find the best Trade Supplier of the Year, and to do this we would like to know which businesses go above and beyond in supplying the egg and poultry sector.
