Jacques Perez has been appointed new country representative in the UK of specialty chemicals group Lanxess and managing director of Lanxess Holding UK, and will start in the new role on 1 October. Born in France, he has been Country Representative and Managing Director of Lanxess India since May 2014. He has also held the position of chief financial officer of Lanxess India Private Limited since 2013.
Perez will take over from Kim O’Connor who will retire in October after more than 40 years with Lanxess and Bayer.

Lanxess has approximately 350 employees in the UK, next to the head office in Newbury there are 5 production sites: Baxenden, Branston, Deeside, Sudbury and Trafford Park in Manchester.
The activities of Lanxess in the UK include several production sites from the blending of inorganic pigments, the manufacturing of science-based biocidal products used in agriculture to the production of urethane prepolymers, plastic additives and flame retardants amongst others.
