Gressingham Smithfield Limited, a new company within the Gressingham group best known for Gressingham Duck, has acquired the business of butchery firm JF Edwards. Under the terms of the acquisition Gressingham has acquired the ongoing business of four shops on London’s Smithfield market and a butchers shop in Primrose Hill.
Gressingham Foods has a long association with Smithfield market and this is a very natural fit to expand the group. We see this as an exciting opportunity to grow the food service side of the business.

Steve Barber has been appointed as Managing Director of JF Edwards and will be supported by John Reid currently Managing Director of Reid’s of Norwich.
