Canadian egg feature planned for Wednesday “twitter party”

Egg Farmers of Canada (EFC) is joining an egg-themed “twitter party” on Wednesday this week to highlight the fact that the industry’s grade A eggs are one of the kitchen’s most versatile ingredients, helping to make “simple but delicious dishes to share with family and friends”.

This is the 3rd year in a row that EFC have been involved in the event, with the organisation offering a number of gift card prizes to further encourage consumers to enjoy the holiday period.

ETC represents more than 1,000 regulated egg farmers, producing close to 600 million dozen eggs a year. The Canadian egg industry is also continuing to grow strongly, with total sales in 2015 becoming the sector’s ninth consecutive year of retail sales growth.
